RecallSirenPrivacy Policy
This policy explains what RecallSiren collects, why, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). RecallSiren is operated from Australia.
What we collect
- Your contact details — the email address you sign in with, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and Google profile email.
- Your catalogue — the product data you upload (product names, model numbers, barcodes, categories) so we can match it against recall registers.
- Usage & product analytics — pages viewed, scans run, and feature events, tied to an anonymous identifier and (once you sign in) your email, so we can understand and improve the product.
- Billing details — handled by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status; we never see or store your full card number.
- Messages — feedback and support requests you send us.
How we use it
- To run recall checks against your catalogue and notify you of matches.
- To sign you in, send your fortnightly digest and instant alerts, and respond to support.
- To take payment and manage your subscription.
- To measure and improve the Service. We do not sell your data, and we don’t use your catalogue to train third-party models.
Who we share it with (subprocessors)
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the Service:

Some providers may process data outside Australia. We only share what’s necessary for them to perform their function.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and catalogue while your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your alert history and reports as a record of due-diligence unless you ask us to delete them. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Security
Access to the Service is protected by passwordless sign-in (Google or a one-time email link). We use reputable infrastructure providers and transport encryption (HTTPS) throughout. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your data, or ask us how it’s handled, by emailing [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email, and cancel your subscription anytime in Account & billing.
